Iternational School of Music Policies

The policies and procedures of the International School of Music have been established to assure consistency and continuity of study. All students are required to abide by them.

1. Students can not change instructors with out the approval of the ISM office.

2. It is the responsibility of the parent and /or the student to notify the office when any problem arises, personal, instructional or financial. Every effort is made to respond to each individual need.

3. Missed lessons A student should notify the school of any absence for any reason out of courtesy; to the instructor and school. However, this does not exempt the student from any monthly tuition.

4. Students enrolling for individual lessons cannot be concurrently studying the same instrument at another institution or with another private teacher without the ISM's prior approval.

5. The school reserves the right to dismiss any student because of lack of interest or progress, frequent absence, frequent tardiness, behavioral problems, and failure to abide by school policy.

6. Students must make every effort to be on time for all classes and lessons. The class duration is 45 minutes (for all the instruments) all classes/lessons will start and end at the scheduled time.

7. Makeup lessons. There will be no makeup for student absences. If a teacher is absent, a makeup lesson will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. If the student misses such a makeup lesson, there will be no second makeup opportunity. However, this does not exempt the student from any tuition.

8. Holidays. We are closed on all major holidays.

9. Examinations: All the students have two examinations annually, semi annual and final examinations. Those students who have a final examination must pay examination fee and an annual registration fee (for the next academic year). This fee's are due one month prior to the examinations.

10. In case of a return check, there will be a service charge of $15.00

11. All the tuitions are due 1st of the month, with a 7 days grace period.

12. Students stopping instruction prior to the end of the month are still liable for the full monthly tuition. There are no refunds or credits.
